Chemistry Projects

Chemistry is one of the most important branches of science. In this post, we will discuss some of its titles which you can use as your science fair project. Some of the most interesting topics we have are the science of matter, especially its properties, structure, composition, behavior, reactions, interactions and the changes it undergoes. Chemistry is sometimes called "the central science" because it connects physics with other natural sciences such as astronomy, geology, and biology.

How do different conditions affect the speed at which fruit and vegetables ripen?

Temperature, light, placement in sealed bags, exposure to other ripe fruit--all have different effects on different fruits. You'll need to look into ethylene gas.

Water filtration Project :

Water purification is the process of removing undesirable chemicals, materials, and biological contaminants from contaminated water. The goal is to produce water fit for a specific purpose.

BioSand Method of Water Filtration

A BioSand Water Filter is a technological adaptation of the centuries-old slow sand filtration process. David Manz designed the system and hold US patents. The system is intended for use in rural homes where naturally safe or treated water sources are not available.

Case Study of Environmental Friendly Lubricants:

These are primarily triglyceride esters derived from plants and animals. For lubricant base oil use the vegetable derived materials are preferred. Common ones include high oleic canola oil, castor oil, palm oil, sunflower seed oil and rapeseed oil from vegetable, and Tall oil from tree sources.

Study and enhance properties of PZT materials

What is PZT?

PZT ( Lead zirconate titanate ) is a ceramic perovskite material that shows a marked piezoelectric effect.

It has three important properties :

1.Piezoelectric: It develops voltages when compressed

2.Pyroelectric:  It develops voltage difference across two of it faces when compressed

3.Ferroelectric: it has a spontaneous electric polarization (electric dipole) which can be reversed in the presence of an electric field
